We are hosting a school operating event this Sunday, 22 November 2009, at the Red Cross communications center. We have students coming from Pine View, Sarasota Military Academy, and Suncoast Polytechnical High School to operate in the ARRL SSB Sweepstakes contest.
We plan on two stations with computer logging and the kids will have a great time since Sunday afternoon is when everyone is looking for new stations to work. We are serving drinks and snacks and welcome all students and their families to come and see what ham radio is all about!
Stop by and see some new and some propective hams experiencing that magic we all felt when we first got on the air!
Control operators will be George Becht, N2SQ, and Jon Hamlet, W4ZW who are also providing the equipment.
