Adventist Community Services National Convention in Champion's Gate, FL is offering a one day Technician class and refresher, as well as a seperate one day General class and refresher as part of their optional disaster response training. [more info at http://www.communityservices.org] The classes are intended to be reviews and general Q&A for those who are struggling with different parts of the question pools.
The testing session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31st at 7pm, and we have VE's for this already.
However, our instructors for both classes on Sunday March 28th from 9am-5pm are now unavailable.
If you would be interested to volunteer your time and expertise to help train potential new Hams, or those who are upgrading, please contact me ASAP at KJ4FCZ@ARRL.NET. Instruction teams or individuals are all welcome.
We have been encouraging all participants to study in advance and have resources posted for them on our website. This is a great opportunity to promote Amateur Radio. [I received my first ticket from the same convention in Albuquerque, NM of 2008!]
