Minutes of Monthly Meeting

March 3, 2008
President Reynolds, KI4RHU called the meeting to order at 1900 hours. 22 members and 3 guests in attendance introduced themselves and their call signs.
Minutes: Minutes were approved by the membership.
Correspondence: None.
Treasurer’s report: Christine, KI4PJD, gave the treasurer’s report which is on file for anyone’s review.
Committee Reports:
Repeater/Technical: No report.
Liaison to Emergency Management/ACS: No report.
Training: No report.
Old Business: Mike, KI4KTP showed some examples of banners, a discussion followed. Ed, K4JP moved to authorize $ 400.00 to buy the banners seconded by Bob, KA4BOB, approved by the membership.Doug, KI4RHU suggested that Mike Zimmerman be the field day chair, thanked all who worked the Sarasota Marathon and reminded everyone the Tour De Cure is next Sunday, if anyone wants to participate contact Doug.
The new banners were showcased and they look great. Thanks to Mike Zimmerman for all the work making them.
New Business: Doug, KI4RHU is looking for someone to manage the MS Walk-A-Thon April 5th. Anyone interested in managing or participating please contact Doug.
Sky Warn class to be held right after this meeting.
Mort award: Given to John, WA4BUP
Adjournment: At 1940 Hours.
The next meeting and party is April 7, 1930 hours at the Red Cross Chapter House, 2001 Cantu Ct., Sarasota.
