SERC Repeaters
The Sarasota Emergency Radio Club owns and operates several Amateur Radio repeaters, as well as other equipment, for the local Amateur community to use.
During emergencies, this equipment would be used to provide backup emergency communications for Sarasota County.
146.730 MHz - Sarasota
The 146.730 MHz repeater is on the COMCAST Cable TV tower (at 500'), just west of I-75 on Fruitville Road. A 100 Hz CTCSS tone is required to access the repeater. The repeater has emergency power capabilities. No phone patch.
147.390 MHz - Sarasota
The 147.390 MHz repeater is located near Fruitville Road about 1 mile east of I-75. The antenna is at 450 feet. A 100 Hz CTCSS tone is required to access the repeater. The repeater has emergency power capabilities. No phone patch.
144.390 MHz APRS - Sarasota
The club owns and operates the N4SER-10 APRS digipeater on 144.390 MHz, which is located at 300' on the COMCAST tower.
145.090 MHz Packet - Sarasota
The club owns and operates the N4SER-8 packet digipeater on 145.090 MHz, which is located at 250' on the COMCAST tower.
145.130 MHz - Laurel
The 145.130 MHz repeater is located on the Clear Channel Communications tower in Laurel, near US-41 and 681 (at 260'). It transmits a 100 Hz tone (no tone needed to access the repeater). It has emergency power capabilities. No phone patch.
Amateur Television - Laurel
The ATV repeater is located at the Laurel site. Frequencies are 434.000 MHz Input, 421.250 MHz Output. The receive antenna is at 302', and the transmit antenna is at 242'.
Internet DX Cluster
The club sponsors the N4SER telnet DXCluster node. This is used primarily by DX'ers and Contesters. It can be accessed by telnetting to n4ser.dyndns.org .
